Phil started drumming at around 14 years of age, after playing woodwinds as a child.

It all started the first time he heard the Mahavishnu Orchestra. He heard Billy Cobham play, and that was it! Drums from now on!

Phil started playing in clubs & studios in Connecticut & New York through the mid '70's, and hasn't stopped yet. Still can't play like Cobham. But that isn't stoppin' him!

In the late '90's he spent a very special time with a band, entertaining our troops overseas in such countries as Italy, Hungary, Croatia, & Bosnia.

Since then he's been back in the area clubs & studios, doin' what he loves to do.

Now as "Da Drumma" of  Parkway Diner, he is now having an absolute blast.

Plus he's enjoying all the friends he's making along the way!
